Welcome to the website for the Gallery in the Atrium of SBCRC. This gallery is to display the art of South Bend community artists and the occasional visitors from further afield. We do not censor artists, though we ask that they be sensitive to the space in which they are hanging art. While a unique gallery, it is also a place for community interaction for the congregation of the South Bend Christian Reformed Church. This congregation includes young and old, experienced Christians and seekers, liberals, conservatives, and everyone in between. This space is also used by other organizations throughout the week: everyone from book clubs to AA to Suzuki violin classes.

The Gallery in the Atrium is a vibrant space, with plenty of room to showcase art. We have a very functional and attractive display system from Walker Displays, which allows us to hang works whether framed or not. We also have a flexible and adaptable lighting system that will allow us to tastefully and appropriate illuminate any show.

Our space provides a unique collection of alcoves, which is excellent for displaying several pieces on a consistent theme, though it is certainly not limited to this use. The warm, rich lighting of the atrium is excellent for evening shows; however, the unique skylight area provides excellent ambient natural light unlike any other gallery space in the region.

While the space is large enough to feel like a substantial gallery, the configuration allows for intimate placement of seating and standing areas. We also provide light refreshments for every show. This is an outstanding facility committed to promoting local art. Look to SBCRC's website and davidbanga.com to see upcoming events.
