Sunday Morning Worship

Where is SBCRC

About Worship at SBCRC
Our life at SBCRC focuses on common worship—when the entire congregation gathers to hear God’s Word, to celebrate what he has done, and to offer prayers and praise to God.

We gather for common worship each Sunday at 10:30am. The Sunday worship service lasts approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. All are welcome.

Twice a month during the school year, we also gather for an evening service. This worship service, called Mosaic, begins at 4:45pm with a common meal. At 5:30pm, we enter the sanctuary for lively, contemporary worship. Our time together concludes by the meeting of small groups from 6 to 7pm. Small groups and activities are available for everyone of every age.

Liturgy
Liturgy means "the work or service of the people." And, let's be honest, this word scares people off sometimes. They imagine humdrum, rote prayers that no one has prayed for hundreds of years. At SBCRC, we have a different take on liturgy. We believe that worshipers are called to "work" during the worship service. Though we might passively listen to a passage of Scripture or a teaching, we also actively receive and respond to God's Word and Work in our lives. Really, "liturgy" means the sum total of our participation with God in our worship services.
